David Klaasen – Founder and Managing Director

David is a Chartered Human Resource Management professional and was recognised as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development in 2002. He is also a member of the Institute of Directors and Institute of Business Consultants. As a qualified Trainer, Adviser, Coach and NLP Master Practitioner, David specialises in helping organisations to understand and optimise models of best practice.

He moved into the Learning and Development arena, inspired by the measurable results it can produce, after gaining valuable international management experience in 5 Star Hotels and Haute Cuisine Restaurants.

Since 1988 David has been working with all levels of management, across a broad range of sectors.  He has designed award winning training programmes for the Méridien Hotel Group and developed nationally recognised Management Development programmes.

His friendly and accessible technique makes it easy to evaluate management effectiveness and implement organisational change by aligning the personal aspirations of staff with business objectives. His approach can often release unexpected resources and innovation amongst management and staff.

David is an enthusiastic and emotionally intelligent communicator who clarifies complex issues and engages audiences, inspiring them into action. This highly pragmatic approach has successfully assisted many clients to achieve internationally recognised standards of best practice.

He is passionate about ensuring that shared values, clear communication and targeted development of people are the furnace that drives business success.

As a relentless learner he is continuously honing and developing his skills, and he loves to relax by scuba diving, practicing yoga, listening to live Jazz and hosting dinner parties with his wife Pam. He is currently enjoying the challenge of learning to Kite surf.

Roger Gugan

Qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Touche Ross and then ran his own business manufacturing water sports equipment and survival equipment. This company employed over 100 people with offices in London and a factory in the North East of England. He successfully sold this business in 1996.

Roger then worked as a Business Consultant in the SME Sector. In 1999 he bought a share in a client electronics distribution company and built that business from a £2M turnover to £12M before selling his share in 2005.

In 2005 Roger returned to consultancy. Principal consultancy services are developing business strategy, business turnaround and mentoring all with a strong financial input.

Alli Gibbons

Alli trained as a mechanical engineer and worked in the manufacturing and construction industries for eight years. During that time she gained a wide range of experience in production and project management, quality assurance, marketing, communications and public relations.

Alli has worked in the business support and consultancy arena for the last twelve years. Projects for clients often focus around strategic analysis and planning. Her excellent facilitation skills help clients to clarify their business focus and priorities.

Alli has strong operational management and organisational skills, with a foundation in quality management approaches, including ISO 9000 and the EFQM Excellence Model. She is MBA qualified and an Associate Lecturer with the Open University Business School.

Rosemary Martin

Rosemary has a wealth of experience helping organisations succeed both as an operational manager and as an HR consultant and business coach. Initially employed by the Midland Bank, Richard Costain and W S Atkins, she has operated at a senior HR level for Selfridges and Allders of Croydon.

Rosemary has helped over 200 clients across all sectors and sizes to achieve business and personal success. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), an Employment Law specialist and a lay member of the Employment Tribunals.

Her pragmatic and friendly approach helps clients to manage people and change in a fair and lawful manner that resolves issues before they require costly and stressful Employment Tribunal involvement.

Debbie Fothergill

Debbie moved into sales training and consultancy following a successful 14-year career with Mars Confectionery (now Masterfoods) – including roles in Sales, Trade Marketing, Sales Operations and Sales Training.

Debbie has a passion for helping individuals, teams and organisations to realise business breakthroughs via improved selling and negotiating behaviours. Her facilitative style creates positive learning environments where people feel safe to stretch and try out new techniques and perspectives. All of her interventions are highly interactive and action-orientated via experiential activities that are uniquely tailored to the organisation she is working with.

Debbie has enjoyed working with a variety of corporate and public sector clients, including American Express, CPM International, London University, Government Office South West and Prontaprint.
